1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of everythingbutthekitchensink.co.uk (the "site"), operated by Jill Dawson trading as Everything But.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. The site is editorial, not advice

Everything But publishes opinion, commentary and design suggestions. Content is provided for general information and inspiration only.

Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice. We are not architects, surveyors, structural engineers, electricians or horticulturalists, and our content is not a substitute for professional guidance. Before undertaking any building, electrical, structural or planting work, take appropriate professional advice and check any applicable building regulations, planning requirements or listed building consents.

You are responsible for any decision you make based on content on this site.

3. Products, prices and availability

Product details, prices and availability shown on this site are taken from third-party retailers at the time of writing and change frequently. We do not guarantee that any price, specification, colour, dimension, or availability shown here is current or accurate.

Always check the retailer's own listing before buying.

We do not sell products. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer, on the retailer's terms. We are not a party to that contract and have no responsibility for the product, its price, delivery, condition, returns, refunds or customer service.

All content on this site, including articles, edits, commentary, headlines, page layouts, design, graphics, logos, the name "Everything But", and the compilation and arrangement of all of it, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, database right and trade mark law.

You may: read the site, share links to it, and print or download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • reproduce, republish, distribute or transmit any content, in whole or in substantial part, on any website, social media account, newsletter, printed publication or other medium

  • copy, adapt or rewrite our edits, product selections, article structures or commentary and present them as your own

  • use our content to train, fine-tune or develop any machine learning or artificial intelligence system, or scrape, harvest or extract content by automated means. We expressly reserve our rights under Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790 and the equivalent UK provisions

Where you are permitted to use content, you must credit Everything But as the source and, where online, link to the original page.

6. Imagery

Photography, illustration and generated imagery on this site is owned by or licensed to us, or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without consent. Some imagery is generated rather than photographed and is used to illustrate a look or mood. It does not represent a specific product or a real room and should not be relied on as an accurate depiction of any item.

Product imagery is supplied by the relevant retailer and remains their property.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site unlawfully, fraudulently, or for any harmful purpose

  • introduce viruses, malware or any other malicious code

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system

  • use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated tools to access or copy content, except for search engine crawlers operating in accordance with our robots.txt

  • place undue strain on the site's infrastructure

  • misrepresent your identity or your relationship with any person or organisation

We may suspend or restrict your access to the site if you breach these terms.

If you send us a comment, message, image or other material, you confirm that it is yours to send and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.

The site contains links to third-party websites. Those links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. We have no control over the content, products, or privacy practices of any linked site and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.

We make no guarantee that the site will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site at any time without notice.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
